This Day in Music – Jimi Hendrix Honorably Discharged

Jimi Hendrix is known for breaking the mold and breaking outside of the box with his guitar playing. But did you know he once broke his ankle? On this day in history Hendrix was honorably discharged from the 101st Airborne Paratroopers, after breaking his ankle during his 26th and final parachute jump. Not only did he take risks in his music, but he took risks for his country as well.
